Flight test department is the integral part of quality control system of JSC « CB Aerocopter ». Its task is to determine and documentary to confirm conformity of the helicopter to currently in force Norms in Ukraine of flying validity and its preparation for the further flights in conditions which were defined by the Customer.

Flight test department is certificated simultaneously with certification of manufacture (see the Certificate). Test-pilots, test-engineers, technician, experts everyone individually receive the certificates, confirming their qualification and the right to undergo flight test of the helicopter. In structure of flight tests department there are flight operations officer, service which is responsible for search and rescue.

After end of assembly the helicopter is transferred in Flight test department. Flight test department is determined with conformity of completeness of the helicopter to specifications on delivery.

On each helicopter the Test program of which contents is defined depending on a complete set and purpose of the helicopter, its functions is individually made. The program is affirmed by the Chief designer.

The engineering-aviation service of Flight test department prepares helicopter according to technologies of procedural works, preflight maintenance service, maintenance service for a repeated start and afterflying maintenance service.

On the basis of the authorized Test program which confirms the validity to flights of the equipment and all systems of the helicopter Flight tests department undergo flight test.

First of all, the first rise of the helicopter is made and then a number of tests which should confirm its characteristics as well:

  • Check of helicopter controls;
  • Tests for stability and controllability;
  • Tests for the maximal speed;
  • Tests for the maximal duration of flight;
  • A practical ceiling determination.

Check of the equipment and devices - is component of the Tests program.

During acceptance the helicopter flies 2 hours in real conditions. Ground approbation is carried out within 37 hours (running in).

Results of test are entered in the logbook of the helicopter and logbook of the engine in special section of "Tests", certify by signatures and are fastened by seales.
